Announcement #3

Okay. Today marks the day i take my project seriously, so heres the apps that i will use

Coding: visual studio code

Art and animation: art: ibispaint (and ill switch maybe) animation: alight motion (trust me)

Music and sounds: music: fl studio sounds: no apps used.

Anyways i hope you like the first demo of the story (the full game is 10-12 hours of game time because i have a lot of stuff planned.)

B.E Witches: the portal

[KORTI:

AGE: 18 in a few weeks (17)

APPEARANCE: similar to rose. Just look at the art.

STATUS: slightly unstable, non-evil, quiet, close minded, thinks differently.

INVENTORY: file, pocket knife, wide screwdriver (which can be used as a chisel), small hammer.

MISC: (misc is the small details about him for the OC lovers)

His jersey is just a winter coat.. a thin one.

Korti is aromantic, thats why he doesn’t look at them weirdly.

He’s a tech enthusiast!

Why is Korti a burden in his family? He seen Rose walk into the portal while he was looking the other direction, oblivious. 

Korti was looking down upon because he had a hard time with PE (c- or c). (His family was super fit)

Why am i changing the style of the text? The old one was.. more dumber and rushed, there was 3 prototypes. One that was in the main game, other was still in the main game but encountered later and the third one would’ve had 3 characters and it was a different game.

COMBAT:

Attacks: no magic:(..instead..remember the shapes and roses mechanic? It’s going to be similar. 

Punch: -40hp (lvl1-lvl4) -100hp (lvl5-lvl6)

Kick: -60hp (lvl1-lvl3) -170hp (lvl4-lvl5) -200hp (lvl6)

Headbutt (lvl2) -100hp (enemy) -30hp (self) (lvl2-lvl5) -300hp (enemy) -10hp (self) (lvl6)

Bearhug (lvl3) - duration - 10sec damage per 1 second: -5hp (lvl3-lvl4) duration - 10sec damage per 1 second: -10hp (lvl5-lvl6)

Annoy (lvl4) - anger(makes the enemy become unfocused and miss the attacks) (lvl4-lvl6)

Dodge (lvl5) +80 dodge (self) (lvl5) +100 dodge (self) (lvl6)

Stun (aka kiss if i don’t change my mind)(lvl6) makes the enemy flustered for 15 sec.

super: mixes 2 atack at once but the damage of both is reduced by 0.5X. (Random)]

Korti has been building this for 2 months, wiring, testing and coding. Korti starts his day by going to college, he hates going there because he gets picked on because he is a bit mentally unstable but still far away from madness. (the ??? Are a group that annoy and tease Korti at college)

Korti: “leave me alone?”

???: “why would we buddy? We know you looked at her.”

Korti: “at who?”

???: “Lily! Dont be afraid! Shoot your shot”

Korti: “piss off..”

He tries to walk away but they still tease him. After campus he’s walking to his apartment.

Korti: “man everything sucks.. no friends.. no emotional support.. and a burden because i was involved in my sisters disappearence..”

He arrives to his home and theres a task called “portal!” You have to find 2 phone scraps, string iron and 3 computer and laptop scraps. (Mainly found in the e-waste bins in the city (high risk but high reward) and on the ground (low risk but low reward) outside) when you go back with your parts go back to your home 

Korti: “well… thats all i need to finish it..”

So he starts working on it for hours and hours, he plans not to study because he knows that his calculations show that its the last thing to making a functional portal. when he was done he goes to the power on button (which is a comically big red switch) and he turns it on. It works!

Korti: “finally! Now i can plan for tomo-“

A translucent yellow crystal jumps out of the portal and sticks onto the ground

Korti: “what the?-“ 

Korti gets close to it but it suddenly starts growing

Korti: “The hell? I gotta get out of here!

He tries to run but it caught his leg and he slowly gets covered in the crystal

Korti: “NO NOT NOW!” 

He tries to resist but hes almost covered

Korti: “NOOO!”

The crystal had completely covered him, he’s unconscious. It starts shrivelling until Korti. When the crystal was floating towards it it purposely damaged the portal’s inner ring, its damaged to the point of making a new one is better than fixing it

(THE START). ,-^

Korti wakes up in a cell and he looks around himself.

Korti: “where am i?.. i think I’m in some futuristic prison?… why are the doors open..”

Korti hears foot steps and hides in a corner, doesn’t say anything, he sees this blue humanoid fish creature in this weird bikini and way to big curves for a normal being... thats his first interaction with Vuu. They didn’t talk because she didn’t see him. She looks around herself

Vuu: “i swear someone was just talking here..”

Korti stays silent, not because he’s a chicken but because he doesn’t know if she is hostile or passive, his best option is being silent. He waits until and waits until her footsteps are gone. He decides to explore and look for an escape, he’s a great escape artist because whenever he’s stuck in a bad situation, he always finds a way out without getting noticed.  

He seems to be aware that it goes up. There are prisoners (which are categorised

He reads it multiple times, thinking he misread, but no, it’s real. 

Korti: “…ohh shiiit…”

He folds it and puts it in his inventory. He goes further. He suddenly stops and peeks out. He sees the same blue fish humanoid and a human.. that cant be possible…

Korti: “what?..-”

meanwhile the other group hears the quiet whisper. Korti looks for a hiding place and hides there

Rose:  “did you hear that? That sounded way to close. No prisoner should be here” 

Vuu: “yes i heard it.. should we find the prisoner?”

Rose: “i dont think we should. Theres gaurds upstairs so it will be easy to escort it back.”

Vuu: “i guess your right.. lets talk to T about the security on here.”

Korti quietly goes out from his hiding spot and peeks and then hastily pulls back.

Korti: “the human looks familiar…* whispers to himself

He stays quiet until he cant hear their footsteps. Thats when he starts walking. And then at the second to last floor he spots a big floating black orb.. he gets near it

Korti: “what this?…”

Korti being super curious, he touches it. Oh.. it teleports him to the first floor in a secret room.

He looks around himself, he sees the same two girls but thankfully they seem oblivious, so he tries to escape by touching the black orb again, but before he could move, a trilobite (tril) hits him hard in the head

Korti: “gah!” 

He grabs his head in pain and quickly touches the black orb and teleports back and run further up the tower

Korti: “i thought they were extinct!”

He arrives at the last level and it’s beautiful, a balcony.

Korti: “view is nice but i dont have the time to watch it… but my head still hurts.”

Korti spots a key to this floating device. 

(Boss fight n1 :) )

As he tries to run there a guard stops him (likely a higher tier gaurd).

Guard: “Stop! Don’t resist and I’ll escort you back to your cell or it will get ugly!”

Korti: “I’m escaping, i don’t care!”

The guard tackles Korti and she tries to subdue him 

Korti: “get off of me weirdo!”

He kicks the gaurd off of him and stands up, panting heavily. The guard slowly stands up

Guard: “oh.. you wish you never done that”

(Stats: 600hp

Attacks: 

impale: -30hp

Guard: +30 defence (self) +10 knockback (if hit theres 10% of knockback)

Burst: -20hp

Super: dash -150hp)

(When you beat her)

Korti: “whoa.. she was tough.. i gotta get going, they’re coming for me still..”

(Xp from battle: 2300xp)

Explore until the pods

Korti: “okay.. How do i-“

he tries somehow to insert the key into the pod and it works the robotic assistant announces 

ROBOT:“please chose the destination you want”

Korti: “the furthest city from this!” 

The robot thinks for a few second before 

ROBOT: “2 cities found. Biscotti and kipper.” Korti: “biscotti!” 

After a few seconds the pod starts to fly towards the city. He sits down and looks at the view. He noticed that it’s a floating island and below it is where 4 towers are.

Korti: “thats creepy.. at least i proved myself right… i hate this.. why did i do this to myself… i regret it..”

He arrives at his destination but he’s about 1.2 kilometres away 

Korti: “I’m close..”

He sits down on a rock

Korti: “im so tired… i wonder..”

He hears something. He looks up, its them

Korti: “shit!..”

He scrambles and runs in the opposite direction. After a long time he stops, he looks back, he sees the blue fish humanoid running, not breaking a sweat. He doesn’t know what to do but fight.

Korti: “leave me alone!”

he runs towards her and it cuts into the fight

(Health: 1090hp

Attacks: water drill: -50hp

Shock bubbles: -70hp

Tornado: -30hp

Insta shock: -80hp

Super: veola!: -200hp)

(if you win somehow she lies there and you can escape, ending called “bigger, better,stronger.”) if you lose (main timeline) Korti lays there, unconscious.

She picks him up and puts him in a cell, his arms and legs are tied for safety. He wakes up

Korti: “hey! Unhand me!”

Vuu hears his commotion and slaps him across the face

Korti: “Ow! Who are you!? What do you want?!”

Vuu: “Im the highest Knight in sablee, Vuu. Im the saviour of preventing the evil lance. Why did you hide from us?

Korti: “what did i expect when ending up in a cell and someone way taller than me and with bigger curves in the world wanting me to resist!.”

(Dev notes: oh i forgot to mention. Ranks also make you taller so if rank 1 Vuu was about 170cm that means rank 6 Vuu is 230cm. I hope it helps you”

Vuu: “I’ll slap you again if you talk to me like that. Anyways you’re super lucky that we didn’t kill you there. Because only biscotti and vetola.

Korti: “Fine vuu.. anyways why do you want from me?”

Vuu: “nothing. We never seen a male in female territory. Could you explain how did get here?”

Korti: “i got here? Okay… uh… cant remember… it’s annoying… i only remember about my older sister disappearance..”

Vuu: “okay.. thats weird.. its almost like i met rose.. ill be right back.” 

She walks out of the room leaving lith alone with his thoughts.

Korti: “Rose…Rose… thats my sister.. i think I found her.. but i want to get out.. these ropes look fragile”

*you have to click to get to the green zone on the hands and legs before the timer runs out. (Click continuously to get to the green zone and free yourself. First hands the green zone is 30% of the bar and the legs that are 10%)*

Korti: “what did i expect.. i hear her.” 

he hides under the bed and stays quiet. Vuu comes back. 

Vuu: “where is he.. he escaped.. ROSE HE’S GONE!”

She leaves.

He waits until the door opens and slams shut. He gets out out of the hiding spot

Korti: “leaving the cell unlocked.. such an idiot..”

He explores, he has to escape again.. 

he has to through somewhere.. underground.. so he looks for a grate or a cover. He finds a hole that goes down (one way only, cant go back) he ends up in the sewers. Monsters everywhere..

(Which are catagorized (4 of them are from the original game)

He has to find the exit once again.. but with a twist! If he dies 3 times it’s done. You have to make a new game! 

Same terrain as the original game but dirtier and darker.

The soundtrack is the slowed and pitched down version of the original game (ALL ASSUMPTIONS BECAUSE I DONT HAVE PERMISSION FOR THE SOUNDTRACKS, CHARACTERS AND BACKGROUND)

If you find the exit there will be a demon guarding it

Korti: “i think this is the exit by this old map..”

He tries to go closer (it’s pitch black so he doesn’t see anything. He bumps into something.)

Korti: “whats this.. a wall?… its warm…”

Demon: “BAGH!”

Korti: “AHH!”

he jumps back, the demon is way taller than him. Korti is 182cm and the demon is 243cm (jack hammer?)

Demon: “ooh~ what do we have here?~

Korti: “could you let me through?”

Demon: “oof, sorry i cant because i think i have something to play with.”

Korti: “Really, I’m not falling for it.”

Demon: “cmere!~”

( status: 855hp

Attacks:

Hug: -10hp every second. Lasts 5 secs

Pierce: -20hp

Kiss: -10hp and unfocused for 10 seconds

Fire breath: -70hp

Super: traumatise: unfocused for 20seconds and after that -22hp (Korti) and +44hp (herself) 

)

If you beat her

Demon: “I’ll haunt you!!~”

She dies.

Korti: “hm.. i think she was interesting.. i wonder if i could revive her..”

When you go out of the sewers you encounter Liv.

Liv: “oh.. vuu was looking for you”

Korti: “don’t tell her i was here!”

Liv: why should i?. You should give me something so i wouldn’t snitch.”

Korti: “..you’re a reviver?”

Liv: “i am! Want to revive someone? I got a whole col-“

Korti: “uh i have my own.. bones. Could you revive her?”

He gives her the bones and korti pays for the service and the demon is revived.

Demon: “im back!~ Oh.. you revived me..”

Korti: “at least be grateful that i revived you!”

Demon: “fair enough.. anyways your going to be guarded by me”

Korti: “…fair enough”

Retti forest. 

explore until you find the golden tree

Korti: “wow.. a golden tree..

???: “resist now or you’ll be killed!

Korti: “who are you-“ *he turns around* “..rose?”

(END OF DEMO 1)

dev notes: hi. If You’re interested to make this a real game (because it’s gonna take me a month just to learn coding c# flappy bird). Then please give me some advice about making a replica of B.E Witches because im super down to make this! (Not that kind of down gooner.) like how to make the background slide and the fighting mechanics. So please dm on discord (korti_bewitches). Thanks!
